Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream Review

As promised, a review on the Smashbox BB Cream! You can pick this product up at your local Sephora or Ulta and it retails for $39 for 1fl oz. Smashbox claims that this five-in-one formula will achieve beautiful flawless skin. This BB Cream is suppose to perfect, control oil, moisturize, prime, and protect. Smashbox also but out a big claim that this BB cream will visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles after only four weeks(hmmmm). Ok will lets just go one by one on those claims.

1) Perfect: For me personally ( a person who only wears tinted moisturizer) when it comes to "foundations" I am always looking for something lightweight that will just even out my skin-tone. This product definitely does that! Simple easy to apply with just my fingers.
2) Control oil: Meh, cant really speak on this to much. My skin is pretty normal to dry in the fall/winter months, plus I always use my two face primer anyway. I can say it doesn't create any excess oil by the end of day and it stays put. If you have oily skin you might want to test out a primer with this.
3)Moisturize: I always use a moisturizer (even with my tinted moisturizers) because there are parts of my skin that are just way too dry to not be moisturized. If you have an oily skin type I think this is heavy enough for you to get away with just this product.
4)Prime: As far as priming your face I think this is light enough to go under foundation if you are looking for more coverage.
5) Protect: Yea def! SPF 35
As far as the reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, I think thats a serious stretch, but hey if anyone has noticed that after using this product let me know!

Smashbox offers this BB Cream in 5 shades and I picked up the color Dark. It blends perfectly with my skin-tone. Have you tried this BB cream? Let me know your thoughts!

  1. I haven't tried it yet but I am thinking about it. Do you still use it? If so how do you feel about it now?

  2. So Sorry Im just getting to you! For some reason I didn't see I had a comment!!! I still use this and I still really enjoy it. It has a thicker consistency then most of my tinted moisturizers but I love it for a little bit of added coverage. You can also use it under your foundation for maximum coverage. I think you would enjoy it.
