Blue Ocean Floor

5/9/13

Lets start with the title of this post, Blue Ocean Floor by Justin Timberlake has me swooning. It has been on repeat in my house, car, life since his new album came out. I thought it fitting for this color obsessed post since I am completely obsessed with that song at the moment.

Blue has been popping up all over my nails lately and more recently starting to make appearances in my makeup routine. Honestly I started falling in love with cobalt blues, now as the obsession has grown , I could really care less what kind of blue it is as long as its blue. Here are my top five blue polishes that have been gracing my nails lately.

~Maybelline Color Show in Poolside~ I instagrammed this a few days ago because I needed everyone to run out and go pick this up before it is gone. A beautiful white based blue, that has a little more white than the usual baby blue polishes out on the market these days. I believe its apart of Maybelline's Limited edition Summer collection, so go grab it soon.

~Essie Mantain Avenue~ This polish hit the stores a while ago with one of Essie's Spring Collections, luckily I was able to pick this baby up. Its a softer robins egg blue color that is just amazing.

~Sally Hansen Pacific Blue~ A classic bright Cobalt blue color...old favorite that I will forever love.

~Essie Butler Please~ The Big Daddy of all cobalty blue polishes...if your wondering if you need it...you do. It looks amazing and pops on every skin tone.

~Essie Blue Rhapsody~ I mentioned this in my March Favorites. A blue metallic that doesn't streak like Windex? yes please.

On to the makeup bits. Lately I have been enjoying a little pop of color along the bottom lash-line. MAC eye kohl in Blooz followed by a little Maybelline Color Tattoo in Blue on By is the perfect combo. When I wanted something a little more daring I opted for Sephora Long Lasting eyeliner in Fancy Blue. Sephora Brand makeup is usually a miss for me, but this liner is not only very pigmented and bright, it actually last longer than 5 minutes on my eyes. Always a plus.

What colors are you loving this season?
xoxo,
Tanesha
