Hello Hydration!

Skincare has always been very important to me. Before I invest in makeup I always make sure my skin care line up is taking care of. For me beautiful natural looking makeup begins with the skin underneath. Lately I have been...
focusing on "learning" and "listening" to my skin, what it needs and what works best for it. In years past I have always gone for skin care products that have worked wonders on other people, instead of testing and seeing what works for me. I also have never "listened" to my skin. I looked at skincare as set rules instead of really honing into what my skin needed. In the past few weeks I have switched up my skincare a bit, added a few items, took away a few, and realized that my skin is dehydrated. The products I was using were great for cleansing and detoxifying my skin but I wasn't properly re-hydrating my skin afterwards. Which can be the start of an incredibly bad cycle. You cleanse and you detoxify to clear out a break out and then your skin is dehydrated so it produces more oil which causes you to break out and then you cleanse and detoxify again. Lady's and Gent's the cycle has begun. Needless to say I have added up a few bits to help hydrate my skin, and my face is thanking me for it.

~Josie Maran Cleansing Balm~ I've done a whole in depth review on this product here, but in short its a great morning cleanser that prepares your skin to receive the rest of your skin care. Never harsh or drying and it leaves you skin feeling supple and looking radiant.

~ Caudalie Beauty Elixir~ A great hydrating mist/toner that I like to use morning and night, especially at night after I have used an exfoliating toner.

~ Josie Maran Argan Oil~ I know I have mentioned this way to much on my blog. I cant stop using this. A little goes along way and now that summer is approaching I can use it as my morning moisturizer .

~Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream~ A beautiful light weight moisturiser that I usually use during the day when my skin just needs some added hydration.

~Kiehls Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment~ My under eye area is always pretty dry and this heavy duty eye cream helps to remedy that.

~La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Light~ Amazing product! I plan on doing a separate review for this because it deserves one. But for those of you who are impatient, its pretty much a milky serum that gives you a boost of hydration and should be used in conjunction with your moisturizer. It has hyluranoic acid fragments and aminoacids that leave you skin feeling great. Could this be a USA hydraluron dupe?

~ Mac Fix+~ I use this to set my makeup and it always gives a quick boost of hydration while also helping my makeup to stay in place.

What skin products have you been using/trying out?
