The Glow Factor

5/8/13

With spring here and summer on its way, its time to insert a little glow into your daily makeup routine. I personally am one to flaunt this look all year round. There's something about glowy skin that just screams natural, healthy, and young. For those of you opting for a little bit of radiance this season, here are my picks.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Radiance a recent purchase that I have quickly fell in love with. Acts as a typical primer which is great as a barrier between your skincare and makeup, but gives a little extra boost to help waken your appearance. You can always just use this product by it self or even as a highlight. Next up foundation, Revlon Nearly Naked in Caramel is the first foundation I have actually owned ( I know, I know), I have tried plenty of foundations but always ended up opting for a tinted moisturizer or BB cream. I love the natural dewiness a good tinted moisturizer can give (Laura Mercier I'm looking at you) and was always seeking that in a foundation, thank you Revlon. Nearly Naked is a a very light weight product that glides on to the skin easily with fingers. I love this stuff and not to mention its a drugstore buy. Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer is heaven in a tube, extremely concentrated, pigmented product that packs a punch. A little goes along way and its gives you the perfect glow under your eyes. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light, not only does it set your makeup like no other, it gives this hidden ethereal glow that will leave people staring at your face wondering your secret.

When it comes to glowy cheeks, I usually grab for my cream products that give me that natural flush. There are a few powder products in my arsenal that have had me pushing my cream blushes to the side. MAC Sweet As Cocoa an all time favorite, honestly if you are NW35 or darker you need this in your life. A beautiful bronzy warm toned blush that just hits the mark every time. MAC Stereo Rose, a beautiful rosy gold blush/highlighter combo that will illuminate your cheekbones.

Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Pearl in 227 is another rose gold pigmented product. First off the Dior glosses are some of my favorite glosses because of there applicator and texture. This particular color would compliment any skintone. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Beige, pop this champaigne color into the inner corner of your eye, spray MAC Fix+ to finish off your face and wah-lah, mission get the glow is complete.
