The Fall'13 Makeup Trends ~ My Picks

9/10/13

With every new season comes a few new trends to dive into. I'm usually the girl who avoids trends as much as possible but lately I have been adding a few "trendy" pieces to my closet and my makeup bag. This season, some of the makeup trends can be a little intimidating so I picked a few out that are wearable and easy to mix and match with the rest of your everyday makeup.

Eyes

This season is all about the jewel toned eyeshadow. From deep burgundy hues to seductive blues these deep colored eyeshadow's are taking over the makeup world. Being a neutral eyeshadow girl at heart it can be a little scary buying color. The YSL Pure Chromatics Palette in #3 is the perfect fix for a girl who wants to dive into the world of color but is still in love with her neutrals. The palette has 2 beautiful everyday colors, a taupe and a nice deep brown and then for the added color a deep blue with a lighter blue for good measure. MAC Cranberry and Coppering eyeshadows are perfect to run along the lower lash line to give a nice pop of autumn color if purples and blues are a little aggressive.

Lips

My lips are usually always a pinky/brown nude, but I recently discovered lip colors in the family of rose and raspberry and I love them against my complexion. This color range is a great alternative to the classic red and vampy colors we usually see around this time of year. My picks? Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Broadest Berry, MAC Cremesheen in Galaxy Rose, and Maybelline Colorsensational in Raspberry Ablaze.

Nails

Bring on the deep blues, burgundies, and duochromes. I love fall/ winter nail colors. There is something so classy about the deeper hues we tend to see this time of year. OPI Bogota Blackberry is a beautiful burgundy color that just looks amazing! Marc Jacobs in Petra a deep purple with a nice shimmer running throughout. Loreal After Hours a very deep/ may look black blue. Loreal The Muse's Attitude a duochrome green polish that has a blue and turquoise sheen.

What are you most excited for now that Fall is here?
