The Monthly Favorites ~ September '13

This month I really focused on actually using my makeup, especially my eyeshadow palettes. I buy them, ooohh and ahhh over them, and then I don't use them. I also have a few new products that surprisingly made it to my monthly favorites. Goodbye September and Hello October.

~ Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in Cappuccino ~ No surprise here, I love this stuff. A very light/ sheer foundation that just gives you the perfect amount of glow and coverage.

~ Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer ~ I started using this again thanks to a post I did on eye primers (here). I really did forget how much I enjoy this stuff. It's great at holding your eye shadows in place and making them more vibrant , but most of all I love that its not overly drying. My crease is pretty oily but the rest of my eye area can be quite dry and I find this does a great job of balancing out the two. Its easy to apply and blends out quickly. I am definitely going to purchase the full size once I finish my samples up.

~ Dior Eye Palette in Mitzah ~ I believe this was limited edition (don't hate me) but Dior has a ton of color options in these 5 color palettes. This baby was sitting at the back of my makeup drawer collecting dust and I decided to really make an effort and use it. It's a great quick everyday palette that can transition into night. The colors, once applied, are actually darker than they appear in the pan and can easily be used for a brown smokey eye.

~ Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara ~ I have a feeling this may have been in my last favorites, but I just can't get enough. The formula thickens my lashes and the brush helps give them a boost of length. I love a good dramatic lash and this does the trick.

~ John Masters Organics Linden Blossom Face Creme Cleanser ~ A beautiful creamy cleanser that gently cleans your skin while leaving it moisturized and plump. I love that all the ingredients are organic so I know exactly what is going on my face. This product really soothes the skin as well so great for those of you who have sensitive skin.

~ Anastasia Clear Brow Gel & Hourglass Brow Arch Sculpting Pencil in Dark Brunette ~ This combo has been doing wonders for my unruly eyebrows. The pencil quickly fills in sparse areas and the brow gel sets everything and helps comb the product through the brow. You can get clear brow gel anywhere for super cheap, but its the brush on this product that makes it worth the hype, especially if you have thick eyebrows you will notice an immediate difference.

~ Urban Decay Brightening and Tightening Complexion Primer Potion ~ Great everyday primer. I like it because it primes and smooths the skin without feeling too heavy or creamy.

~Sonia Kashuk Eye Couture Palettes in Nuetral Matte, Eye on Neutral Shimmer, and Jewel of an eye ~
These palettes are great additions to anyone's makeup collection and if your a beginner this is a perfect place to start. The colors are phenomenal. Literally with every palette I can use every single color which is very rare for me. Each palette has creamy/ blendable eye shadows with great color pay off! My favorite? I really can't choose, all three have been on heavy rotation this month.

What was your favorite product of September?
