The Pamper & Prep ~ Preparing for Fall

With each season I like to do a clear out and mini organization of my closet. I pack things away for next year, fill in last years items, donate, and also do a checklist of the items I need to grab for this season. Here are a few of my must have fall fashion items and of course I have some beauty necessities as well.
Trend #1: Jeweled Sweaters
To be quite honest if you throw sparkle on anything I am bound to love it, but a jeweled sweater is right up my alley. This gives me the comfort of a sweatshirt while still being sophisticated and pulled together, and I can skip the statement necklace because these pieces make a statement all their own.
(Old Navy here, Madewell very old)

Trend #2: Plaid
I definitely never considered myself a lover of plaid but recently I have been enjoying the pattern. I prefer to wear it on a silk blouse because it tends to look more feminine and less lumberjack. This scarf is one of my favorite fall/winter items and I was so excited to put this back in my closet. The plaid is subtle because of the color combination and it just looks amazing with anything you pair it with.
(Madewell old but similar here)

Trend #3: Oxblood/Burgundy
I am usually a fan of all black, neutrals, and then a very subtle dose of color. These heels are perfect for my wardrobe and this color is everywhere. It still allows me to stick to my neutrals but have a little fun.

Trend #4: The Moto Boot
When it comes to boots I usually and by usually I mean always go for a riding boot. There is something about them that is just so classic, but I saw these and I just feel in love. I love the gold detail on the side and the back and they make my simple outfits slightly edgy.

Trend #5: Feminine Leather Jacket
Leather bombers/Motorcycle jackets have been pretty popular the last couple of years. Recently I have seen a lot of leather jackets that have a more flattering fit and are feminine and girly. This jacket is amazing and the fit is great, its faux leather and has a sweater material panel along the underside of the arm and along the outer part of the waist (which really cinches you in ) and then it flares out slightly to a beautiful peplum. There's also some great stitching on the front part of the jacket that accentuates curves nicely.

Trend #6: Camo
I am currently on the hunt for some awesome camo skinny ankle pants but in the mean time I found this  t-shirt. I love how it fits loosely off of the body and the camo print is slightly worn and distressed. I tend to dress pretty girly with a slight edge so I would throw on a huge sparkle necklace and a black blazer to make this fit my stlye.

Trend #7: Black & White
It's really funny that this is a "trend" now because this what my wardrobe consists of (well less white, more cream ). This skirt is awesome and really thick, perfect for fall and winter. I love that I can dress it up but also dress it down with just a chambray and flats.

And of course we couldn't forget our beauty essentials. There's only a few major things that I change up in the fall time, my skin/bodycare, my nail polish (see you next year neons), and my lip colors.

Skin/ Body
~ Dr. Hauschka Rose Body Moisturizer ~ A lotion that really packs a punch in the moisturizing department. Although it's pretty thin, it quickly melts into your skin and leaves you completely hydrated and smelling of very sweet roses.

~ Perricone MD Hypoallergenic Nourishing Moisturizer ~ I am pretty sure this is one of the thickest creams I own in my skincare collection. Slather this all over your face and you will never have to worry about a dry patch again.

~ Josie Maran Argan Oil ~ A given. You guys already know how I feel about this product and for those of you who don't check out this post.

~Chanel Paradoxal ~ A classic. A stormy purple grey color that is a one coater.

~ OPI Bogota Blackberry ~A beautiful deep red.

~ OPI Vampsterdam ~ Vampy indeed. To me it is a very odd color to describe. It's a deep purple with a shimmer but its a polish you need to see in person.

~Sonia Kashuk Shine Luxe Sheer Lip Color in Plum ~ I just recently discovered this new line of lipsticks/lip balm hybrid from Sonia a couple of weeks ago. They are very creamy and the color payoff on the darker colors is great.

~ Maybelline Colorsensational Lipgloss in Raspberry Ablaze ~ A beautiful deep raspberry color that screams fall.

~ NARS Lip Pencils in Luxembourg and Cruella ~ doing a full review on these and a few other shades soon but they are amazing and Cruella is now my "signature" red color.

How are you preparing for Fall?
