The Review ~ Laura Mercier Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Colour

( Cafe, Cozy)
I have recently decided to expand my lip product collection which currently consist of an overwhelming amount of lipgloss. Yes, I am a self diagnosed lipgloss addict. As long as the lipgloss is sheer and slightly nude/pink it is probably in my collection. I have never been a fan of lipstick because 1) I am deathly afraid of color 2) I always felt I looked extremely "over-done" when I would wear lipstick 3) They are usually very drying and too opaque. But in the last year or so lipsticks have taken on a whole new form, brands are bringing out lightweight, balm like lipsticks that produce a sheer or lightweight dose of color. So, I put on my big girl panties and decided to peak into the world of lipstick...o and color.
First stop Laura Mercier. Laura never does me wrong, from my still HG Tinted moisturizer to my recent obsession with her highlighters, I am at a point were I can fully trust LM. She recently launched a new line of lip colours and I was interested in swatching a few, 40 mins later I walked away with Cozy and Cafe, both creme formulas. I am very pleased with this product. Just like the name suggests they are very lightweight and apply easily to the lips. The creme formulas have a good dose of color and they last a few hours. I tend to apply them directly to the lips and then lightly pat them with my finger until it almost turns to a stain. Both colors are beautiful. Cafe is my play it safe color and Cozy is surprisingly my favorite. It's a beautiful rosey red color that looks amazing.

I am interested to try out a few of the other shades and the sheer formula (there is also a matte formula). They retail for $24.00 at Sephora and there is 12 shades for you to choose from.

I would love to hear your suggestions on lipsticks I should try next!
