A Fall Haul

10/21/13

Hello Everyone! (waves frantically) I am back today with a rather larger makeup haul. There have been a few new beauty products that have hit the shelves recently. I definitely wanted to go out and try a few new things to review for you guys. All of these items will eventually get reviewed but for now I just wanted to show you what I picked up!

(Revlon Matte Balm in Shameless, Revlon Matte Balm in Standout, Rimmel Lipstick in Bordeaux)
(Urban Decay 69, UD Venom, IT Cosmetics Perfect Red, NYX Cabaret)

Lips
I was really excited to walk into my local CVS and see the new Revlon Colorburst Matte and Lacquer Balms. I decided just to pick up the matte version in Shameless and Standout. Shameless is a beautiful dark purple that actually is a little bit darker on the lips than the swatch above. Standout is a really nice bright tomato red. I haven't worn these longer than a couple of minutes and even in that time they felt great on the lips! Not drying at all like most matte lip products. Maybelline released The Elixir Lip Lacquers and  I picked up the colors Raspberry Rhapsody, Dashing Orchid, and Signature Scarlet ( I did not swatch them because they were pretty sheer and hard to see). I have tried these out and so far I am not a fan, I prefer Maybellines Colorsensational Lip glosses over these. I also decided to pick up some lip liners now that I am enjoying bold lips. Urban Decay recently released their 24/7 Glide on Lip Liners I picked up 69 and Venom. 69 is a true bright red and I chose Venom for darker more vampy lip colors. IT cosmetics is now at ULTA  and I have a list of items I wanted to try out from them, their Your Lips But Better Lip Liner was the first item I wanted to try. It claims to be a waterproof stain which is perfect for when I want to wear a red lip and not have to worry about it fading. I also wanted a wine colored lip pencil and NYX's lip liner in Cabaret seemed perfect.
(SHCSM in Malbec, Essie After School Boy Blazer, SHCSM in Nightwatch, Essie Sweater Set, Revlon Rich, SHCSM in Loden Green)

Nails
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure one of my favorite drugstore nail polishes released a Fall collection and a Prabal Gurung Collection. I picked up Malbec a beautiful deep purple wine color, Nightwatch a deep navy, and Loden Green a creamy army green. Revlon released a few new polishes in their fall collection, the only one I had my eye on was Rich, I'm excited to test this out. Of course i had to get something from the most talked about fall nail polish collection Essie's Fall 2013 Collection. I picked up After School Boy Blazer and Sweater Set.

Eyes

Ok so I am clearly going through a mascara phase. Loreal just released the Butterfly Mascara and I couldn't resist. Loreal is my favorite drugstore mascara brand and they have never let me down before so I am really excited to try this out! (if you look closely the wand has wings). IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes Mascara looks really interesting and potentially dangerous, we shall see how that goes. YSL Babydoll mascara is my first YSL mascara purchase and I have heard so many great things about this mascara that I knew it was time for me to try it out myself. Laura Mercier's Caviar Stick in Sandyglow the color is new to me but I already have two others and I am obsessed. YSL Pure Chromatics Palette in #19, you already know how I feel about these palettes, I cant get enough, heres a reminder on how much I love them.

Body/Skincare

I am finally getting around to trying The Body Shops Body Butters I picked up Olive and Honey. Both smell amazing and leave my skin hydrated. I recently ran out of MAC's Cleanse of Oil ( lets just all have a moment of silence please) and decided to try something new after 2 years going strong. I purchased Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil, by now I'm sure you all know my love affair with Josie's products. The woman can do no wrong.....except with this cleansing oil, before I give the details I want to try it a few more times, but for now I am not a happy camper.

Let me know in the comments below if you want any specific reviews!

Tanesha
