The Beauty Bag ~ October

Hello everyone! So sorry for my lack of posts last week, I was completely under the weather and could barely get enough energy to get up in the morning. I am feeling like a new Woman today and I am excited to be back at it. There will be a ton of posts this week since I am playing catch up so make sure to follow my blog through Bloglovin. Love you guys and hope you all are doing well! Alright, now for your regularly scheduled program.

Its already the seventh day in October! I am excited for all of the fall fests, corn mazes, and apple picking that will be happening this month. I decided that for my beauty bag I wanted to focus on the dark lip with winged black eyeliner trend that has been going on. I recently have dived into the world of lipsticks and products with an actual color other than nude and let me just say that I am obsessed. I never thought I would ever wear a red lip and like it! Here are my picks for October.

Winged eyeliner has always been my "thing" , most people have a signature makeup look that they go to, winged liner is that for me. I love a good liquid liner, Loreal The SuperSlim Liquid Liner is a great option because its extremely thin, you can really get in to the inner corner of the eye and make the wing really precise. Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon is amazing, its the first eye pencil I enjoy creating a winged eye look with. Usually eye pencils can be a little harder to work with, they can be to dry and tug at the eyelid causing you to skip some spots, or they can be too creamy and just spread everywhere. This pencil glides onto the eyelid like butter and stays put. It gives me a softer winged eye. Gel eyeliners with the right brush ( I suggest MAC's 266) can be phenomenal. They have the preciseness of a liquid but the staying power of a pencil. My recent favorites have been Loreal Lacquer Liner in Blackest Black and Bobbi Browns Gel Eyeliner in Graphite Shimmer Ink.

I can't stop buying Red , Wine, and Dark Purple Lip products. I am going through a phase and I am sure it will pass soon but until then I am loving it. My perfect red is NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella, this is the product that started it all. I picked this up on a whim and decided to try it out. I put this on my lips and I could not stop looking at it in the mirror. It just brings a very simple no makeup makeup look to life. It brightens my face and I just looked pulled together. Sonia Kashuk Shine Luxe Sheer Lip in Sheer Plum and Maybellines Colorsensational in Raspberry Ablaze both are beautiful plum raspberry colors that can be on the sheer side but are beautiful with a nice smokey brown eye. My most recent purchase is the YSL Rouge Volupte in 12 which is basically an exact dupe for MACs Rebel. Love the creamy consistency of this product and it is nice and pigmented.

What is your favorite makeup trend for fall?
