The Budget Buy ~ Current Top 5 Lip Picks

11/21/13

This is my third post about lip products this week...let's just say I'm a little obsessed with lip everything (and foundations) at the moment, don't worry this will pass soon enough and we can all go back to my daily rant and raves on skin care and liquid eyeliner. Today's post is all about the budget lip products that I enjoy, especially because I am just skimming the surface when it comes to bolder lip colors, most of the time I will opt for a budget option before shelling out the money for a higher end find.

(Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss in Crystal Lilac, Revlon Matte Balm in Shameless, Almay Lip Balm in Just Plum Good, Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate in 11 Rosetto, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry)

When I peruse the drugstore looking for new lip colors I tend to stick with the same brands and the same range.

~ Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss ~ I did a whole review on these here, probably one of the best lip glosses not only from the drugstore but in the beauty world. I really feel like they don't get enough hype. The texture is extremely smooth, non-sticky, and you actually get some good color payoff. They last a decent amount of time on the lips as well.

~ Revlon Matte Balms ~ Revlon brings it when it comes to there lip products and they recently released the matte balms (along with laquer). I am absolutely impressed and in love. They still have that amazing mint smell and feel to the lips but they are extremely pigmented and matte. Very comfortable to wear and I don't experience any drying or feathering.

~ Almay Lip Balm ~ These are especially great to have around for this time of year. Moisturizing, while still giving you a hint of color. I picked up a few of the deeper colors to carry me through fall and winter. Check out my full review of them here.

~ Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate ~ I am new to Rimmel's lip products but I had heard such great things about their line by Kate I had to try out a few. Great product for the price, pigmented creamy lipsticks that glide on to the lips with ease and they have an AMAZING color selection. You can pretty much find a dupe for any other hi-end product just with Rimmel.

~ Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks ~ Revlon Again! This line of lipsticks can be a little hit or miss , but when you do get a winner its so worth it! My favorite is Black Cherry so impressed with this formula, pigmentation, and longevity.

What are your favorite drugstore lip products?
