FOTD ~ Holiday Look 1

12/11/13

Holiday parties are officially in full swing. Here is a look that I will definitely be wearing to a festive party.

Korres Vitamin E Face Primer has been my primer of choice recently. With the colder weather and my skin screaming for moisture this has been the perfect product to pair with my foundations. Not only does it moisturize the skin it also keeps my foundation and makeup in place all day. Becca Radiant Skin Satin Finish Foundation in Tobacco gives me a beautiful matte finish without drying my skin out. Full review is here. To help with the dark circles I opted for a more moisturizing concealer, Tarte Marcuja Creaseless Concealer in Deep. To help brighten my under eye area (thanks to late night sessions of The Vampire Diaries) Marc Jacobs Remedy Concealer in 6 After hours did the trick. Brows were filled and tamed by Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ebony and Clear Brow Gel.

After yesterdays post I really wanted to try out the new moondust shadows from Urban Decay. I made sure to prime my lids with Urban Decay Primer Potion to help with staying power. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Sparkle Green is a beautiful emerald green with silver sparkle. This is a great sticky base to help the glittery shadow stick. I blended MAC's Swiss Chocolate in my crease and then packed on Urban Decays Moondust Shadow in Zodiac. I am happy to report no fall out! I then blended MAC's Brown Down in the outer crease to darken things up a bit. MAC's Phloof! was popped into my inner corner to help brighten. Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Damsel, this is quickly becoming my favorite brown eyeliner, was used on the upper and lower waterline. YSL Babydoll Mascara to finish off the eyes.

I knew I wanted to do a bold lip so I kept it simple with the cheeks. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed is a beautiful nude barely there blush that helps to warm up the skin. A little bit of The Balm Mary Luminizer goes along way to help highlight. I usually wouldn't do a dramatic eye and a bold lip in one look, but there is still something so simple about the eyes that a nice bold lip just balances it out. I used Urban Decays Lip Pencil in Venom paired with YSL Rouge Volupte in 12 to create this beautiful berry lip.

Do you have any Holiday parties coming up?
