Intro to Bobbi Brown

12/26/13

Bobbi Brown, much like MAC, has a serious cult following. The brand is known for having an array of shade selections and promoting natural beauty by using makeup to enhance. I love the overall "idea" Bobbi has set with her makeup line. Its fresh, innovative, and it is exactly what I try to promote on this blog. All that being said I had never tried anything from the brand until a few months ago but the few items that I have collected have been amazing!

Clearly we need to start with the Foundations. Usually when a brand has great bases the rest of their products more than likely are fantastic as well. My first purchase was the BB Cream in Dark, a great everyday product that has decent coverage. The one thing that stood out for me is that it gives a beautiful semi-matte finish to the skin. Next up was the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation in Walnut 7.5. I am so happy I discovered this! One of the best (if not the best) foundations I have ever tried. Evens out the skin beautifully without being too heavy. Mattes the areas that are too shiny but still allows the skin to look radiant, and it photographs well. My most recent purchase is the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation in Almond 6.5 another great pick from Bobbi, much lighter in texture than the Long-Wear but still gives about medium coverage. Natural on the skin with a touch more dewiness.

Foundations aside Bobbi is also known for bringing it in the gel liner department. The selection of colors will have you drooling and I love that they are so long-wearing. The consistency is pretty thick but it gives you a little bit of time before it dries, just in case you need to work with it or smudge it out.
I have the colors Violet Ink, Graphite Shimmer Ink, and Caviar. Now, that I am talking all this Bobbi, I am itching to go head up the counter this weekend.

If you have any fave Bobbi Brown products I should try let me know in the comments!
