"Some Girls Are Just Born With Glitter In Their Veins"

12/10/13

The Egg Nog has been purchased, the Christmas Tree is up, and my secret love affair for sparkle, sequins, and glitter is out for the world to see. I have been known to rock the sequin shoes or the bejeweled necklace every now and then but 'tis the season to go all out in the glitter department. I recently picked up a few new products to help me achieve the perfect Holiday looks.

(UD Diamond Dog, Stila Metallic Lavendar, UD Zodiac, Stila Titanium)

When I made my trip to Sephora I had one thing in mind. Sparkle. Easier said than done. I wanted shadows that would be easy to work with and less fall-out the better. I was in search of a more sophisticated/ grown up glitter. One that I could wear to holiday parties and everyone not think I just played in costume makeup. I came across Urban Decay's Moondust eyeshadows and fell in love. Creamy, extremely sparkly, easy to apply, and the color selection was great. I walked away with Zodiac, a gorgeous green glitter bomb with specks of blue. Its crazy how glittery these shadows actually are, my camera couldn't pick up the complexity of this shade. I also grabbed Diamond Dog a beautiful brown with silver glitter.

For those of you who want the shine and sparkle of a glitter but would rather skip a glitter shadow the new Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye shadows are insane. A very intense metallic finish that almost looks wet. The color selection is huge but I opted for Titanium a beautiful dark silver and Metallic Lavender.

To add to my always growing glitter polishes I picked up Finger Paints Colorful Collage and Peacock Portrait. From OPI's Holiday collection My Favorite Ornament drew me in. I will definitely be rocking one of these for New Years.

Are you a fan of glitter?

Xo,
Tanesha
