The Perfect Palette

12/25/13

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!! I have officially made it through Blogmas! I really enjoyed posting everyday that I actually plan on doing this throughout the rest of the month (and hopefully into the new year). I am loving the Perfect Palette Tag that is going around on Youtube so I decided to make it into a quick post. I hope you all are enjoying the holidays!!!

Best Packaging
Hands down has to be my YSL Pure Chromatics Palette. The beautiful gold packaging actually weighs quite a bit and when you whip it out you just feel like a princess.

Best Color Payoff
This was a hard one to answer. Usually what makes me buy a palette is the color payoff, so most of the palettes I own are great in this area. I decided to go with my Lorac Unzipped Palette . The shades in this palette are pure butter. Easy to pack on the lid and blend out. You only need the slightest amount on your brush to get full pigmentation and the color range is just fantastic.

Most Versatile
Another hard question because once again I like to pick palettes that are going to be easy to use and versatile, but there is one stand out. Lorac Pro Palette has 8 matte shades and 8 shimmer shades that are mainly neutrals with a nice purple and copper thrown in. You can do so many looks with this palette and never have to reach for another eyeshadow in your stash, it literally has everything you could need. The shades are beautifully pigmented and easy to work with giving you effortless looks.

Best for Traveling
When I think of traveling with makeup I immediately think small and compact but versatile. Sonia Kashuk Monochrome Eye Quad in Textured Cocoa is my go to. Although all the shades are very similar they make easy looks that can quickly transition from day to evening, not to mention its small and sleek.

Biggest Regret
Wet N' Wild Matte Palette....They just aren't wearable and it sits in my makeup collection collecting dust.

Best Color Names
I am not a sucker for shade names, actually I rarely pay atttention to them, but if I had to pick it would be Stila In the Light Palette. I love the palette and I find the shade names to be relaxing and pretty. Sunset, Bliss, Night Sky...makes me think of an island.

Least Used
My Inglot palette using the Freedom System. You would think I would use this more since I made it...but no. The shadows are nice, great pigmentation and they blend out decently but for some reason I just cant pull my self to use some of the shades.

Most Used
This is probably the palette that I have had the longest and I still love it. The Two Faced The Natural Eye Palette,  perfect take on a beautiful natural eye.

Most Loved and Desert Island Palette
This may be too soon to tell but Im going to go out on a whim and say my Urban Decay Naked3 Palette is my most loved and definitely the palette I would take on a desert Island. It works so well for my skintone and it gives you a different option of a neutral eye than your typical champagnes and browns.

What is your most loved palette?

Xo,
Tanesha
