The Review ~ YSL Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils Babydoll

12/13/13

I am on a constant search for the "perfect" mascara. The one that actually lives up to all the promises and claims mascara brands usually make. I have tried ALOT of mascaras and usually they work pretty well on me but none have claimed Holy Grail status...YSL is looking like it might try and take the throne.

Obnoxiously long name aside this mascara is thebomb.com. The packaging is glamorous but more importantly the wand and formula of this mascara is perfection. I prefer a thicker formula and a brush that will separate the lashes and coat them evenly, this has both. I have medium length curly eyelashes and when I am looking for mascaras I always prefer volume over length. This is mega volumizing! The brush is very easy to use and allows me to really work with my lashes, getting both inner and outer corners.

Your lashes really do look like a babydoll, fanned out and separated. Now my bottom lashes are very scarce...ok...more like nonexistent...ok fine I have like none. This mascara really helps to enhance and thicken them. The only downfall is the weird floral scent that is really annoying but doesn't linger. Overall I enjoy using this mascara and would definitely repurchase in the future. Holy Grail Status? No but its very close.

Do you have a holy grail mascara ?

    1. This packs a punch in the volume category,I don't get much length action with this mascara, which I dont really mind. Loreal Telescopic is a good all rounder, you get length and a bit of volume.
