The Makeup ~ Best of 2013 Makeup & Skincare

Instead of doing a December favorites post I decided to recap 2013 and take a look back on what my makeup and skincare favorites were. Last year was definitely the year of skincare. I have always tried to take care of my skin but 2013 was where I really began to understand what my skin needs and doesn't need. That being said my makeup favorites are pretty basic, here's a look.

~ Bobbi Brown Long- Wear Even Finish Foundation  in Walnut 7.5 ~ This hands down wins the slot for most talked about item on my blog, that being said I will leave it at that.

~ Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ebony and Clear Brow Gel ~ I am now a believer. This brow pencil gives you the most amazing precise brows. The small tip helps to fill in the brows naturally without going overboard. The brush on the clear brow gel is just amazing. I have very curly eyebrows and this helps straighten them out and lay them done neatly. Honorable Mention: Hourglass Brow and Sculpt in Dark Brunette, love this pencil as well.

~ Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon ~ I was never a fan of eye pencils, I always opted for a liquid or sometimes gel eyeliner. The Gel crayons from MJ have completely converted me. Check out this post for a bit more detail on my obsession.

~ Korres Cheek Butter in Chara Crimson ~ One of my most used blushes for the year, for some reason I can't put this down. Not only do I love the reddish brown color but the finish gives off a healthy radiance. Cream blushes can be a hit or miss in the longevity department but this is great for all day wear.

~ Maybelline Colorsensational Gloss ~ One of the best drugstore discoveries last year. A simple non sticky gloss that has great color payoff.

~ REN Invisible Pores Detox Mask ~ To be honest REN , is a brand favorite from 2013, everything I have tried from them has been phenomenal and has really changed the way I look at skincare. If I had to pick one item it would be this mask, it does a great job of removing impurities from my skin and unclogging pores.

~ Josie Maran Argan Oil ~ Another item that I could not stop raving about last year. A multipurpose oil that I love to use on my face. It helps calm and heal any problem areas. A great treatment for your skin.

~ La Roche Posay Hydraphase ~ A beautiful lightweight serum packed with hyaluronic acid fragments that help with moisture retention. My dehydrated skin loves this stuff.

What were your favorites last year? List them in the comments!
