The Makeup ~ A look at Tinted Moisturizers

1/27/14

This is where it all began. My love for bases started to grow when I discovered tinted moisturizers. When I was a new be in the makeup world, tinted moisturizers seemed forgiving, easy to use, and gave me the lovely glow that I still try to achieve, not to mention I could apply them with my fingers and be done. Since then my obsession has moved from TM's  to full on foundations (Bobbi Brown Long-Wear, we are all looking at you), but there are still a few sheer options I keep in my stash.

~ Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint in Deep Bronze ~ For you oily girls who may want a tinted moisturizer, give this a try. It's gives the skin a glow while still keeping your oil at bay. Perfect summer companion.

~ NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Martinique ~ I love this and once my "Foundation Free Month" is up  I cant wait to play with this again. A tinted moisturizer that is radiant but leans more on the matte side of things, giving you a beautiful and natural finish.

~ Smashbox Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer in Medium ~ The first tinted moisturizer I have ever tried, years (and tubes) later this baby is still in my makeup stash. There's something about the glow factor that just pulls you in. Lightweight and non greasy this is perfect all year round. Moisturizing enough for those of us who have a drier skin type. I hardly ever hear about this TM but it really is one of the bests on the market, definitely deserves more buzz.

~ Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free in Walnut ~ Holy Grail TM, hands down. The coverage on this is perfect for me. Matched with my MAC 189 my skin just looks flawless.

How do you feel about tinted moisturizers? Any favorites?

  1. In the UK, I think the Smashbox one has been discontinued. I really like their BB cream though.

    1. I know! I just discovered they discontinued it here in the states as well :( It's always the products you love that they discontinue.
