The Makeup ~ Shopping My Stash

One of my New Years resolutions was to stop buying and start getting some use out of the products I currently have. Well, half way through the year and I am just now starting to "Shop My Stash". Here are few products that I recently rediscovered.

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer ~ Not sure why I am just now falling in love, but I am falling hard. We weren't the best of friends when I first picked this up. I thought it was "OK", a little drying, and wasn't quite sure what the hype was about. Now I think this is a beautiful primer. Lightweight and silky, it helps smooth the skin, preparing it for whatever base you choose to use. For some reason I no longer find it drying, it helps keep oil at bay, but doesn't dry my skin out. If this continues to work well into the Fall and Winter, I think a full size will definitely make it into my makeup drawer.

Diorskin Nude Foundation in 060 ~ Another product that I wasn't a fan of when I first purchased. I recently whipped this back out again to give it another try, and its such a nice foundation, I am actually surprised this doesn't have more hype around it. Aside from the beautiful packaging, the actual product is a dream to work with. It blends into the skin effortlessly leaving you with a beautiful glow. I definitely wouldn't say this is in the "dewy" category of foundations. It's more of a semi-matte formula that leaves the skin radiant with medium coverage that could be built up to full.

Laura Mercier Mineral Pressed Powder in Warm Chestnut ~  This is really similar to MAC's Mineralized Skinfinish with just a bit more coverage. Great product to use as a foundation, and light enough to use as a setting powder.

NARS Dolce Vita and Smashbox Blush Rush in Heartbreak ~ Dolce Vita is freaking amazing! Ummm I am literally about to pick up the lipstick and lip gloss in this color as well. For some one who wasn't a fan of NARS Blushes, I can officially say I have been converted and I am now a believer. Smashbox's Heartbreak was a pleasant surprise, a beautiful peachy mauve color with a subtle gold shimmer that gives your cheeks a beautiful glow.

Bobbi Brown Long- Wear Gel Eyeliner in Graphite Ink ~ I am currently into gray eyeliner right now thanks to this little pot.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Rich Mahogany ~ A deep reddish brown bronze base color that gives the eyes a beautiful summer time smokiness.

YSL Rouge Volupte in #25 ~ Love the formula of these lipsticks and this peachy brown nude is just perfect.

What have you recently rediscovered?
