A Few Steps to Prolonging Your Makeup

Every once in a while there are days where I  really need my makeup to stay put well pass the six hour mark. Here are few extra steps I take to make sure that happens.

Foundation Primer ~ Primers are great for keeping your foundation fresh and oil free. My current favorite is the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer.  It leaves the skin prepped and ready giving your foundation a base to adhere to.

Eyeshadow Primer ~ If you suffer from oily lids or eyeshadow creasing this a must have when prepping your eye makeup to last all day. NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base, is the only one that gets the job done.

Loose Setting Powder ~ Lover of a glow I usually opt out of using a powder, but when I really need my makeup to last I run to my Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Powder. Undetectable on the skin, this gives a beautiful satin finish that helps your makeup to stay in please. Don't  forget to set your concealer, Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder does exactly what it says and my concealer remains crease free.

Eyebrow Gel ~ I have thick curly eyebrows and setting them in place is a must have for me, my favorite is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel. It puts your brow hairs in place without making them crispy or unnatural.

Setting Spray ~ Last but not least, a nice setting spray just to lock in everything. The Urban Decay All Nighter Spray is a cult favorite and I see why. The nozzle releases a fine spray that doesn't disturb your makeup.

What are the extra steps you take to make sure your makeup lasts?
