Intro to NARS

It was hard writing this post. I knew that I couldn't talk about every single NARS product I own in detail (although I thought long and hard about it) but for some reason I could not pick my favorites. It's like picking your favorite child (too far?). NARS just consistently gets it right, from the minimal matte black packaging, to the phenomenal products within, I have yet to buy a NARS product I didn't like. So I decided to pick the MUST HAVES, the products that if you were standing at a NARS counter right now, I would YELL at you to grab.

Let's just go in order of application, NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, one of the best in the market, giving this a close second to my holy grail Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer...but we aren't here for her. Its beautiful, leaving the skin smooth and even with a slight sheen. The coverage is light to medium and the formula lasts all day. If your in the market for a new TM, this should be your next purchase. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, how can I put this? ....It's Perfect. The coverage is medium to full, yet it's lightweight, blending in to the skin effortlessly. It looks beautiful in photographs. It leaves the skin radiant, but not shiny. Crease-resistant. I mean really Francois Nars, the beauty community will forever be changed thanks to this little gem. To set everything in place but still give a touch of radiance, NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Powder, which comes in a loose version as well. It doesn't cake on the skin or cause that annoying white cast over the face, it just sets and glows. NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base, this has replaced my Urban Decay Primer Potion....enough said.

Moving on to cheek products, I'm sure by now you know my recent love affair with NARS blushes, Liberte, Dolce Vita, and Mata Hara are my current favorites. Long-lasting and pigmented, once you find the right color they are so easy to fall in love with. NARS Larger than Life Long-wear eyeliners are beautiful, glides on effortlessly and stays put. This line also has an amazing black called Via Veneto. While we are on the topic of eyes, if you can still snag the limited edition Narsissist Eye Palette, I highly suggest you pick this up. It has a good selection of shades that are wearable, I did a mini review on it here.

The most recent additions to my NARS collection, the Audacious Lipsticks in Annabella, an orangey red and Janet, a pigmented magenta. The formula provides an even application of pigment that doesn't tug or pull on the lips leaving you with a semi-matte/ satin finish. Wear time? I'd say about 7 hours comfortably, give or take a few if you are eating or not. NARS rave...over.

How do you guys feel about collection posts? Any brands you want me to do in the future?
