January Favorites

Not much on the beauty front for favorites this time around. I am still loving a lot of the things I mentioned in my 2015 Beauty Favorites, but I have a few surprising newbies and some products that are making my room smell like....every word that I tried to think of just does not do it justice...but my room smells amazing...ah-mazing.

~ Caudalie Gentle Cleansing Milk ~ This cleanser has been such a pleasure to use in the mornings. My skin has been especially dry when I first wake up...I'm trying to combat that by using a humidifier at night and this cleanser has also helped to sooth and re-hydrate my skin. The texture is light weight but effective and I simply remove it with a warm washcloth....and my skin is left feeling so wonderful. I did a review here if your not yet convinced you need this in your stash.

~ Tatcha Classic Rice Enzyme Powder ~ So, this is an odd product, and I think the learning curve really hindered me from truly enjoying the experience. This is a water-activated exfoliating cleanser, comprised of Japanese rice bran , Papaya extract, and a ton of wonderful ingredients designed to remove dead skin cells,  address fine lines, and hyper-pigmentation. When I was first testing this out...I thought it was good, then I thought it was ok, then it began collecting dust in my skincare cabinet. I recently decided to whip it back out again and realized...I wasn't using enough water! Now I get it...this product is wonderful and leaves the skin extremely soft. Any dry patches or flakes I may have are significantly reduced.

~ Anastasia Beverly Hills Self Made Palette ~ Are you tired of me mentioning this yet...don't get too tired because a full review is coming soon...because I have to...because it's amazing. I am literally waiting for Anastasia/Norvina to release a new palette...waiting...patiently of course. There's been hints that Mario Dedivanovic will be collaborating with ABH and releasing an eyeshadow pallette...um...here....take my money.

~ NARS Lip Gloss in Dolce Vita ~ Dolce Vita is my favorite color by NARS...I have it in all the offerings...literally....but my fave has to be the blush and this lip gloss. The formula is thick and opaque, the thickness being awesome for longevity. I love it patted into the lips for a stain.

~ Diptyque Candles in Amber and Roses ~ This was one of those situations where I was minding my business in Nordstrom and then realized there was now a Diptyque counter. I went in not expecting to  purchase and then I walk away with two candles....how does that happen? If you love Jo Malone candle's ( Pomegranate Noir is beautiful) then you should definitely check out Diptyque...so worth the hype. You don't even need to burn them, the scent just wafts through the room . My fave? Definitely Amber, its just perfect.
